Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the production planning and scheduling process to meet sales volume, sales mix, and inventory requirements.
  • Plan and assign manpower, authorize overtime, and control costs to ensure efficient operations.
  • Monitor production yields daily and make adjustments as necessary to maintain delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate with production, supply, sales, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure production standards and goals are achieved.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures to achieve strategic operating goals.
  • Perform capacity planning for equipment, floor space, and manpower requirements based on forecasted workload.
  • Develop team approaches to problem-solving and continuous improvement concepts within the assigned area.
  • Produce and maintain performance measures to display strengths and weaknesses within the cell.
  • Monitor and control capital expenditures in relation to budgeted amounts.
  • Perform administrative activities necessary for effective cell management, including employee selection, pay administration, budget administration, employee safety, employee counseling, and motivation.

Requirements:

  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow company instructions, company processes, administrative policies, and procedures.
  • 5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Authorized to work in the US.

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business administration, or related discipline.
