Job Summary

The Maintenance & Metrology Supervisor will provide technical support for facility, utility, lab, and manufacturing equipment and associated instruments. This role requires hands-on experience with maintenance, calibration, and metrology systems, as well as leadership skills to direct and develop maintenance personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance and calibration procedures to ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, and Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines.
  • Coordinate shutdown activities and scheduling of calibration/PM/repair work to minimize downtime and optimize equipment availability.
  • Lead a team of maintenance mechanics and calibration technicians to ensure effective troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, protocols, and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and optimize equipment performance.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and cGMP, GDP, and FDA regulations.
  • Develop and manage shutdown schedules to minimize disruptions to production.
  • Provide technical support and training to maintenance personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar FDA-regulated environment.
  • Minimum 4 years of maintenance experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, including Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Physical Environment and Requirements
  • Ability to wear cleanroom/protective gowning and equipment, including but not limited to gowning, goggles, face shields, and protective gloves.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
