Job Summary

Bright Light Academy is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Education Lead to join our two-year-olds' teaching team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with assistant group supervisors to plan and implement daily lesson plans and activities.
  • Help create a safe and stimulating classroom environment for two-year-olds.
  • Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines.
  • Provide individual and group support to children as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress.
  • Complete child assessments and participate in parent/teacher conferences.
  • Mentor new and less experienced staff.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Children & Families.
  • Two+ years experience working with young children, preferably ages 6 weeks through 3 years.
  • Must qualify as a Group Supervisor with DHS.
  • Pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
  • Be 18 years or older and able to work in the United States.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Be able to lift up to 40lbs, see, hear, and sit on the floor with children.
  • Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment.
  • Supervisory experience and/or bilingual a plus.
Benefits
  • This is a full-time, year-round position.
  • Pay range starts at $17.50 up to $19.50 (relative to experience and education) per hour with a pay increase based on performance and education at the end of a 90-day probation period.
  • Full-time staff also receive paid holidays, PTO, sick-time, dental or vision insurance, reduced child care, and more.
  • Full-time staff work a four-day work week.
