About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Protection Specialist to join our team at The Kroger Company. As a key member of our Loss Prevention and Security department, you will play a critical role in protecting our assets and ensuring the safety of our customers and associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detect and Deter External Theft: Utilize your expertise to identify and prevent external theft suspects from entering our stores.
  • Reduce Customer and Associate Dishonesty: Implement and promote actions to minimize customer and associate dishonesty, fostering a culture of integrity and trust.
  • Monitor Large Shrink Areas: Conduct regular surveillance and monitoring of high-risk areas in our stores to prevent and detect shrinkage.
  • Report Incidents: Promptly report any incidents or suspicious activity to the Asset Protection Manager, ensuring timely and effective response.
  • Support Customer and Associate Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and associates through effective communication and training, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with customers, associates, and management.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to analyze situations, identify potential risks, and develop effective solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring timely and effective incident response.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
