Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Licensure/Certification: Valid Pharmacy Technician Certification. Active registration as a Certified Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
- Experience: Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in mathematical calculations (ratios, proportions, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions).
Essential Duties:
- Support the filling of medication orders and prescriptions.
- Prepare intravenous admixtures, including chemotherapy, adhering to aseptic techniques and regulatory standards.
- Restock medications for automated dispensing systems and maintain their functionality.
- Assist in inventory management by verifying and organizing orders, ensuring proper stock rotation, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Prepare sterile products and accurately label medications, maintaining records as per departmental policies and legal requirements.
- Assist with billing processes for patients and other departments.
