Compensation: $95.73 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project activities related to refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget standards.
  • Manage all facets of project execution, including budget oversight, work package development, parts procurement, ALARA planning, and safety protocols.
  • Address scheduling conflicts and delays to maintain project momentum.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring they align with cost and resource expectations.
  • Engage regularly with clients, engineers, and management to ensure project alignment and progress.
  • Formulate and manage contracts, fostering strong vendor relationships.
  • Create and maintain project schedules that reflect project complexity, managing risks and tracking progress effectively.
  • Prepare and present written and verbal communications to various stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Establish and uphold long-term strategic plans for assigned projects.
  • Support the implementation of the Columbia Generating Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.
  • Provide outage support, including participation in the Outage Control Center (OCC).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field from an accredited institution, along with 14 years of relevant experience;
  • OR an AA/AS degree with 16 years of experience;
  • OR a High School Diploma or GED with 18 years of experience.
  • An advanced degree in a related field may substitute for two years of experience.
  • Project Management certification is mandatory.
  • Extensive experience in the commercial nuclear sector, particularly in maintenance, operations, engineering, or construction.
  • Proficient in managing complex projects, including on-line work management and refueling activities.
  • Familiarity with project management and budget software.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to operations, construction, and engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire and apply new skills effectively.
  • PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) is required.
  • Active certification is necessary.
