Clinical Laboratory Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at the US Department of Health and Human Services. As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results, which are essential for making informed medical decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests and examinations to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely laboratory results.
- Maintain professional knowledge and proficiency in medical technology through ongoing education and training.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Bachelor's or graduate degree in medical technology or a related field.
- Successful completion of a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires the ability to work in a laboratory setting, with frequent exposure to chemicals, biological agents, and other hazardous materials. The selected candidate must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow strict laboratory safety protocols.
