Pediatric Cardiologist

Position Overview: Deaconess Health System is actively seeking a full-time, Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pediatric Non-Invasive Cardiologist to enhance our dedicated team at the Deaconess Riley Children's Specialty Center.

Candidate Profile: We welcome applications from fellows in their final year of training. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional care.

Responsibilities: The selected candidate will collaborate with an experienced Board-Certified Pediatric Cardiologist to serve a diverse patient population, addressing areas such as General Pediatric Cardiology, Preventive Cardiology, Dysautonomia, Fetal Cardiology, and Echocardiography.

Clinical Duties: In this role, you will provide outpatient care in a modern facility, as well as inpatient consultation services across various pediatric departments, including the emergency department, pediatric floor, pediatric intensive care unit, and neonatal intensive care unit. You will work alongside Pediatric Hospitalists, Intensivists, Neonatologists, and Pediatric ER providers.

On-Call Coverage: The position includes a 24-hour on-call sonographer service, with a call coverage ratio of 1:4 for pediatric cardiology at the affiliated hospital.

Practice Environment: This role primarily focuses on outpatient practice, incorporating a blend of clinical and procedural care. You will have access to support from the Pediatric Intensivist team for efficient scheduling of procedures, and a shared electronic medical record (Epic) system between clinics and hospitals.
