As a Diesel Mechanic - Swing Shift, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Sunroc's mission and core values in all aspects of your work.
  • Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment, including major engine and transmission repairs and replacements.
  • Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Complete major road calls and perform field repairs.
  • Keep scales calibrated and certified with the state.
  • Responsible for safe operation and securing equipment.
  • Maintain tools as required to perform job.
  • Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electronics, and associated components.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years journeyman experience and/or 2 years diesel mechanic certificate (preferred).
  • Valid CDL (preferred) and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Documentation that proves eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Attention and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
