Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our team at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital.
About the Role:The RNFA will provide exceptional patient care and support to surgeons and healthcare teams in the operating room. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:- Assist surgeons during operations, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in preoperative nursing and work collaboratively with others to ensure smooth operations.
- Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery to continuously improve patient outcomes.
- Provide direction and guidance to others regarding practice, serving as a resource, preceptor, and mentor.
- 5 years of Perioperative Nursing practice as both a scrub and circulating nurse.
- Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Certification: CNOR, ACLS from the American Heart Association, and current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
