The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered professional nurse who provides support and works in conjunction with the Nurse Manager of a specific unit(s) or service. - Exemplary Practice and Outcomes: Promotes staff competency in clinical care delivery and holds self and staff to the highest professional and ethical standards.
- Professional Development: Represents the organization positively to the community, building credibility and as a member of one's professional organization.
- Evidence-Based Practice and Research: Promotes evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing school. Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school is preferred.
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license with a single state or multi-state compact. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical experience.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, relationship building, and a desire to see progressive nursing management roles. Must be a continuous learner who seeks to better understand healthcare financing, strategy, and operations for running a business unit(s).
