Role Summary:
The Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant will support Physical Therapists in delivering physical therapy interventions and procedures, adhering to current federal, state, and local standards that govern long-term care facilities. This role is essential in ensuring the highest quality of care for residents and fostering positive relationships among the community, staff, residents, and their families. Responsibilities include administering traction for pain relief, monitoring patients during treatments, compiling and assessing patient response data, and communicating findings to the Physical Therapist. Collaboration with the physical therapy team and other healthcare professionals is crucial for planning, adjusting, and coordinating treatment programs.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Preferred minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
