This specialist will be tasked with researching, developing, and maintaining comprehensive market intelligence models and reports to inform the organization about current and future market conditions, pricing strategies, and potential risks associated with market opportunities. A strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for research are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of the market intelligence database and various data sources.
  • Track and analyze key supply and demand indicators.
  • Generate regular reports and analyses on supply and demand metrics.
  • Present market forecasts and pricing strategies during quarterly meetings.
  • Enhance and refine statistical models for forecasting prices of all poultry products.
  • Develop quantitative models to address business challenges (e.g., profitability analysis, yield optimization, customer segmentation).
  • Streamline processes through automation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create dashboards and visualization tools.
  • Conduct competitive assessments across all business segments.
  • Analyze demand across various sectors: Retail, Food Service, Export, etc.
  • Perform price and product mix optimization analyses.
  • Support management with additional requests as needed.
  • Undertake other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Business, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in business analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in data management and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex results to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with at least one statistical software package (e.g., STATA, R, SAS, or EViews).
  • Experience in applied statistics.
  • Project management and process improvement experience.
  • Ability to perform job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs arise.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Background in the food or agricultural industry.
  • Understanding of commodity markets.
  • Experience with database management software (e.g., SQL).
  • Working knowledge of VBA.
  • Experience with Qlikview.
  • Familiarity with data extraction from various sources (e.g., IRI/Nielsen, USDA).
  • Experience utilizing statistical packages for data analysis.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment.

  • Base salary range of $74,000-$100,000.
  • Incentive Pay: Eligibility to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan, with amounts varying based on standard terms and conditions.
