Rehabilitation Instructor

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Instructor to join our team at the Louisiana Department of State Civil Service. As a Rehabilitation Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing vocational conditioning to individuals with disabilities, helping them to develop the skills and confidence needed to engage in vocational activities and community living.

• Provide instruction and day programming to individuals with disabilities to facilitate self-sufficiency
• Utilize skills and techniques to address learning ability and receptiveness of different age groups
• Simulate work environments and promote positive worker traits
• Formulate individual training programs for each client with supervisory review
• Participate in staffings with other rehabilitation professionals to provide feedback on client behavior and performance
• Observe, record, and complete written reports of client progress

To be successful in this role, you will need a baccalaureate degree and a strong understanding of vocational rehabilitation principles and practices. You will also need to be able to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and provide close supervision to ensure their safety and well-being.
