Key Responsibilities- Manage patient flow and relations within designated areas, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.
- Perform patient-oriented procedures and tasks within the scope of your education and training, utilizing knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices, and ethics.
- Provide nursing care to patients who present with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems, working under the direction of clinician or other licensed personnel.
- Float to various departments as needed, adapting to changing priorities and patient needs.
- Collaborate with the back-office team to ensure job tasks are performed in a productive and high-quality manner.
- Assist with directing back-office duties, such as vitals, injections, venipuncture, or procedures, ensuring accurate collection, handling, labeling, and processing of specimens.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing clear and concise information about test results, procedures, and other important health-related information.
- Participate in quality control functions, maintaining accurate records and adhering to SAC Health Policy and Procedures.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among healthcare professionals.
- Current, active, and unrestricted LVN License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (American Heart Association or Red Cross accredited program).
- Valid California driver's license and auto insurance required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as an LVN preferred.
- Proficient computer skills, including data entry, and ability to use office equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records.
