Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Yoh. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the laboratory professional staff and facilitating production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine laboratory functions with precision and accuracy.
  • Sort and receive specimens in the department.
  • Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Centrifuge specimens, print labels, and record data.
  • Prepare reagents and media, and prepare specimens for testing.
  • Perform QA/QC duties and resolve pending lists.
  • Decontaminate work areas and dispose of biohazardous material.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Math and science courses preferred.
  • No work experience required, but laboratory or medical assistant training is helpful.
  • Ability to establish work priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
