Position Overview:

Seeking Adaptable RN Floats: Your Expertise, Anywhere, Anytime

As a Full-Time, Night Shift Float Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding nursing care across medical/surgical and telemetry units. This essential position requires a thorough understanding of hospital protocols, keen interpretive skills, and effective collaboration with colleagues. Enjoy a 15% differential on hourly pay for your flexibility in providing expert, compassionate patient care across various specialties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates, implements, and evaluates the Patient Plan of Care and outcomes.
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes.
  • Acts as a patient advocate, ensuring timely implementation of nursing interventions.
  • Demonstrates appropriate clinical skills and technical competence in patient care.
  • Exhibits critical thinking by assessing, analyzing, and communicating patient information promptly.
  • Accurately documents all patient assessments, interventions, responses, and provider communications.
  • Identifies patient safety risks and implements necessary safety interventions.
  • Supervises assigned staff, delegates appropriately, and ensures quality care for all patients.
  • Assesses educational needs of patients and families, providing relevant instructions.
  • Reviews, initiates, and implements patient orders in a timely manner.
  • Prioritizes responsibilities based on urgency and patient needs, demonstrating effective time management.
  • Seeks out additional clinical experiences to enhance knowledge and assists others as needed.
Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care as an RN.

Essential Competencies:
  • Experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients and team members.
  • Capacity to handle crisis situations effectively.
  • Skills to provide excellent customer service to patients, team members, and visitors.
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Health Records.
Required Credentials:
  • RN - Registered Nurse.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification.
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • NIH - Stroke Certification.
Educational Requirements:
