Job Summary

This role involves leading the Exercise is Medicine Greenville program, which aims to promote health and wellness in the local community. As an Exercise Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing exercise programs tailored to individual patients' needs. Your primary goal is to help patients achieve their health goals while fostering a sense of community and camaraderie within the program.

Responsibilities
  • Orientation: Conduct orientation appointments with patients, ensuring they understand the program's objectives and expectations.
  • Session Preparation: Prepare patient information packets and plan sessions according to patients' assigned modules.
  • Sessions: Lead 12-week programs comprising two 1-hour sessions per week, focusing on educational discussions, exercise prescriptions, and progress tracking.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field
  • Exercise is Medicine Greenville certification within 60 days (if not already certified)
  • NCCA Personal Trainer certification or higher (preferably ACSM)
  • CPR/AED, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, and BBP certifications
  • Excellent member service skills and computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and email)
