About the Role

This is a 36-hour per week position with a 12-hour shift schedule, including weekends and holidays. As a Senior Medical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients on our Med Surg unit at Ellison 12, MGH's largest medical inpatient unit.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans
  • Providing direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurse who can provide exceptional care to our patients and contribute to our team's success.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A current licensure in Massachusetts as a registered nurse
  • One year of acute care experience, with two or more years of recent acute care RN experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field

You will also need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods, as well as work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
