Job Title: Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at VCA Pine Lake Animal Hospital.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist veterinarians in examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures, administer medications and vaccinations, and monitor patient vital signs. They will also perform diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and other diagnostic procedures, as well as prepare and maintain diagnostic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians in examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and other prescribed treatments.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs during procedures and recovery.
  • Perform and assist with diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain diagnostic equipment.
  • Communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address client concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in treatment and surgery areas.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, fellow veterinary technicians, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
