Surgical Technologist

Job Summary:

As a Surgical Technologist with Trinity Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the Operating Room. Under the supervision of an Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will assist in providing nursing care to a designated population in collaboration with the members of the health care team.

Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing the operating room and equipment for surgical procedures
Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control policies
Assist the surgical team during procedures, including passing instruments and supplies
Provide emotional support to patients and their families

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of a Surgical Technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
