Job Summary

The Houseman is a vital member of our Beachcomber Beachfront Hotel team, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our guest rooms and public areas. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including moving furniture, making minor repairs, and ensuring all areas are clean and tidy.
  • Housekeeping Support: Assist housekeepers with cleaning and maintenance tasks, such as vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning bathrooms.
  • Supply Management: Replenish supplies, such as towels and toiletries, to ensure our guests have everything they need.
  • Waste Management: Remove trash and recyclables from guest rooms and public areas.
  • Reporting: Report any maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Manager promptly.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, work quickly and efficiently, and stand for long periods.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Basic knowledge of carpentry and plumbing is preferred.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
