Responsibilities
As a Cardiovascular Registered Nurse, you will:
- Deliver direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations.
- Address the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care associated with the surgical environment.
- Maintain continuous communication with physicians regarding patient conditions.
- Assist in the upkeep of equipment and inventory.
- Evaluate the functionality and readiness of procedure rooms and equipment.
- Procure supplies for individual cases, ensuring all needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are fulfilled.
- Monitor physiological and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab.
- Continuously observe and document patient conditions while in the Cardiovascular lab.
- Engage in performance improvement and continuous quality enhancement initiatives.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License is required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) and ACLS certification upon hire and maintenance is necessary.
• A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac procedures is required. Consideration may be given for candidates with three or more years of Critical Care experience.
