Exercise Physiologist

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient status for exercise participation, including medical histories and physical evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized exercise prescriptions, continuously upgrading them as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor cardiac patients during exercise sessions, notifying attending physicians of any abnormal physiological responses to exercise.
• Provide accurate and ongoing information to patients and referring physicians regarding patient status, progress, and physiological responses to exercise.
• Counsel patients on attenuation of cardiac risk factors, exercise programming, and home activities to promote healthy lifestyle habits.
• Ensure patient safety and efficiency by providing vigilant supervision of exercise equipment and assisting with documentation of individualized treatment plans.
• Participate in performance improvement and risk management activities to maintain high-quality patient care.

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience with conducting medical histories, physical assessments, and developing exercise prescriptions with safety limitations.
• Analysis of ECGs, patient education, and clinical management of cardiac patients.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certification as an Exercise Specialist or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist preferred or required within 12 months of hire.
• Current BLS certification and attainment of ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
