Medical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Actalent.
About the Role:The Medical Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for performing various clinical laboratory test procedures and ensuring proper maintenance and operation of instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Supports and assists with the provision of identified clinical services to enhance and maintain patient flow, services, and satisfaction.
- Performs, assists, and is accountable for various clinical laboratory test procedures.
- Exercises professional judgment in the performance of laboratory procedures.
- Provides patient care essential to laboratory procedures.
- Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and reports to the provider.
- ASCP Certification Required.
- Degree in Microbiology preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, chemistry, mathematics, hematology, and serology at a level normally acquired through completion of an approved two-year program.
- Successful completion of a supervised clinical internship.
This is a fully on-site position in Norfolk, Virginia.
Working in the Microbiology and Molecular Diagnostics lab.
Working four 10's with rotating shifts. Every other week includes a weekend shift.
