Position Overview
Fidelis Integrated Solutions, Inc. (FIS) is in search of a full-time Modeling and Simulation Analyst specializing in Intelligence Analysis. This role involves collaborating with a team of experts to conduct research, develop models, and analyze military systems to assess the performance and implications of operational strategies and tactics. The position requires the application of model-based system engineering (MBSE) to support requirements definition, mission effectiveness, system evaluation, and military utility assessment across a diverse range of missions, including combat air operations, intelligence-surveillance-reconnaissance, and air mobility.
The MSTP's mission is to enhance training in the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) across various military operations, particularly within Joint and Combined Task Force settings, with a focus on improving combat readiness through effective training and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify databases for simulation systems utilized in MSTP exercises.
- Ensure the simulation system or federation effectively supports the planned training exercise, providing guidance to overcome technical challenges.
- Draft comprehensive simulation control plans for all MSTP exercises.
- Design and maintain simulation system Response Cell diagrams.
- Serve as a functional area expert in the role of Intelligence Instructor Controller (IC).
- Familiarize with the training audience's operational orders to facilitate effective response cell operations.
- Engage in structured orders development and rehearsals to accurately reflect the training audience's operations in simulation models.
- Establish simulation federations and databases to accurately depict all forces and interactions.
- Conduct operational testing to evaluate simulation databases and parametric data, ensuring models accurately represent forces for training events.
- Provide training to Subordinate Unit Response Cells (SURCs) on modeling and simulation protocols, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
- Recommend adjudications and mitigation strategies for simulation discrepancies during MSTP exercises.
- Report all events necessitating adjudication to the Senior Controller (SC) or Simulation Control Officer (SCO).
- Document and report on Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) actions during exercises.
- Submit Software Trouble Reports (STRs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Provide feedback on exercise issues and suggest corrections for inclusion in the Modeling and Simulation after-action report (AAR).
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Security Clearance: Secret.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in intelligence related to MAGTF operations.
- Mid-Level - Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Work Environment
- Standard Office Environment.
- 10-15% travel may be required.
