We operate numerous VA Community Based Outpatient Clinics across the nation, offering a wide array of medical services tailored to meet the unique needs of local VA medical centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage health conditions of veterans under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Conduct thorough examinations to identify symptoms of medical disorders.
- Develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans, ensuring continuity of care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, providing timely follow-up and care based on results.
- Educate patients on medication usage, mental health assessments, and routine health maintenance.
- Review and integrate external medical records into patient care, adhering to VA co-management protocols.
- Ensure all clinical reminders are addressed during patient visits.
- Document all patient interactions within 24 hours to maintain accurate medical records.
- Adhere to VA guidelines for timely responses to patient requests and notifications.
- Follow VA formulary processes and consult protocols diligently.
- Complete all clinical documentation in accordance with VA standards by the end of each business day.
- Participate in mandatory training and compliance initiatives as required by the VA and company policies.
- Focus on achieving optimal clinical outcomes while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Engage in outreach efforts to support clinic enrollment initiatives.
- Assist patients with scheduling and follow-up appointments as needed.
- Support and adapt to new clinical and operational initiatives.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and nurse practitioner program (MSN required).
- Certification from a recognized professional organization.
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a CRNP in a primary care or ambulatory care setting; experience in a government healthcare environment is preferred.
- Current credentialing with the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
- Valid, unrestricted nursing license in the state of employment.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support as required.
- Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong computer skills and a positive, service-oriented attitude.
- This position is considered safety-sensitive.
