Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team at Nuvance Health. As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.
Responsibilities- Conduct preoperative assessments of patients to identify potential safety risks and develop effective care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to the 5 Rights of Medication Administration.
- Assess patients' learning needs and provide education to patients and their families to promote informed decision-making.
- Coordinate and supervise the delivery of nursing care, including delegation of tasks to other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operating room workflow.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize operating room efficiency.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Connecticut.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (CBL) certification.
- ACLS, PALS, and ENPC certifications.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
