Your Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for our Night Trading shift and will undertake the following tasks:
- Deploy, monitor, and configure a suite of proprietary trading applications.
- Offer technical expertise and support to a high-frequency trading floor in a competitive market-making setting.
- Develop proficiency with existing systems, infrastructure, and procedures while proactively enhancing them.
- Intelligently automate processes while maintaining essential human oversight.
- Script against configuration files, databases, and logs.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for general IT inquiries or assistance.
- Resolve IT issues related to trading and enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure the health and stability of the production trading environment.
- Continuously drive production systems towards cleanliness, simplicity, and reliability.
- Track and resolve issues as part of a fast-paced, results-oriented IT team.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- A passion for problem-solving in a dynamic environment.
- A strong desire to engage with a diverse range of technologies.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Perl.
- Familiarity with SQL and data management.
- Understanding of operating systems and network architectures.
- Knowledge of trading exchanges and financial instruments is not mandatory.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
