Residential Paint Specialist

CROWNCO INC. is a reputable and expanding general contractor within the Residential Development sector, dedicated to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and outstanding customer service. We are currently seeking dedicated, dependable, and skilled individuals to fill the role of Paint Technician in the San Diego County region.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Paint Technician is responsible for preparing and applying paint to new residential properties or multi-family units, as well as performing touch-up work. This role includes assisting with warranty paint repairs for builders, which encompasses tasks such as color matching, drywall patching, trim painting, stucco painting, and effectively using painting tools while collaborating with other team members to ensure satisfaction for homeowners and clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute painting, color matching, and repair tasks for homeowner paint-related issues.
• Maintain daily communication with warranty managers.
• Perform caulking around trim and baseboards, and prepare painting sites.
• Complete all tasks outlined in work orders from builders and Crownco Inc.
• Inspect and document any damaged or missing items in new homes.
• Basic drywall patching and texturing skills are advantageous.
• Possess extensive knowledge of residential painting, both interior and exterior.
• Demonstrate reliability and dependability, particularly in time management and punctuality.
• Follow instructions from supervisors effectively.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team and adhere to Crownco's established procedures.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail.
• Ability to match and apply wood stain is a plus.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent work experience accepted.
• Proficient in using basic hand and trade tools.
• Capability to match paint for both interior drywall and exterior trim.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on journeyman-level painting experience.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
• Reliable transportation is essential.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to work full-time in various outdoor conditions.
• Capability to climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, crawl, squat, reach, and move for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items exceeding 50 lbs.
• Dexterity and mobility to navigate uneven terrain.
