Role Summary:

The Senior Associate in Tax Credits & Incentives at Specialized Tax Services (STS) is tasked with leading or supporting initiatives to identify, calculate, document, and advocate for R&D tax credits and various tax incentives, ensuring compliance with tax authority regulations. STS Senior Associates collaborate with senior professionals to develop project workplans and budgets, conduct interviews with client personnel to gather necessary data and documentation, and manage project deliverables effectively.

Qualifications:

Education:

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in accounting, tax, or finance, including internships.
  • Experience in R&D and/or tax consulting roles is preferred.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing tax provisions, corporate taxation, consolidations, and partnerships is advantageous.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Possession of or progress towards a Certified Public Accountant license, Enrolled Agent certification, or Juris Doctorate degree is preferred.

Software Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, is preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and leadership qualities.
  • Ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels within Finalert.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
  • Strong initiative and a desire to lead and develop the STS practice.
  • Experience in building and maintaining client relationships and community engagement.
