**Job Summary:**

American Battery Solutions is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Process Lead to join our production engineering team. This role offers a competitive salary of $120,000 per year and a comprehensive benefit package in Springboro, Ohio.

As an Advanced Manufacturing Process Lead, you will be responsible for driving the design, procurement, and implementation of new equipment and manufacturing processes. You will work closely with operations, engineering, logistics, and launch teams to ensure successful program execution, meet customer requirements, and achieve production and cost targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate new product concepts, create manufacturing plans, and estimate production costs.
  • Develop robust prototype processes for new product launches, tied together with the production process for seamless start-up.
  • Lead multi-million-dollar projects and write Statements of Requirements (SOR) for equipment integrators.
  • Determine Capex and VA for new projects, project planning, and acquisition projects.
  • Approve machinery and equipment runoff and process sign-off according to MAP standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve facility processes and related KPI metrics and PDCA issue resolution.
  • Manage improvements to manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout with the cross-functional team.
  • Participate in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) and test strategy (in-process and end-of-line).
  • Develop and maintain all production documentation required, including DFA's, PFD's, PFMEA's, WI's, etc.
  • Ensure equipment and tooling readiness/documentation and all quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with procurement to source and manage prototype materials and supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
  • Manage engineering expenditures, labor costs, and departmental budgets.
  • Support development/engineering, suppliers, operators, maintenance, and customers for all prototype and low-volume production launches.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration to resolve production issues and communicate AME project status and progress to stakeholders.
  • Maintain facility capital and adhere to federal and state regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience as a manufacturing engineer or in a related role.
  • Five years of experience leading projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Three years' experience with Prototype builds, Design validation through Production validation.
  • Experience with DVPR and APQP Documentation (DFEMA/PFEMA), design for manufacturability, TS 16949, and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Adept in various troubleshooting methods and data processing and statistical analysis.
  • Effective communicator capable of presenting technical data to internal and external customers and collaborating with suppliers.
