We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Medicine Physician to join our team as a Nocturnist Hospitalist at our hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to inpatients during nighttime hours.
Key Responsibilities:- Medical Care and Management: Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and provide immediate and appropriate medical intervention.
- Procedure Performance: Perform necessary procedures, such as intubation, central line placement, and management of acute conditions.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with day-shift hospitalists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth transitions and comprehensive patient care.
- Chart Review and Updates: Review and update patient charts, orders, and notes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital policies.
- Interdisciplinary Rounds: Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with specialists to optimize patient outcomes.
- Quality Improvement: Adhere to hospital protocols, guidelines, and best practices to maintain high standards of care.
- Team Support: Provide guidance and support to residents, medical students, and other healthcare team members as needed.
- Quality Initiatives: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in nocturnal hospital care.
- Medical Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification: Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Medical License: Valid medical license to practice in the state of Mississippi.
- Clinical Skills: Strong clinical skills, with the ability to make independent decisions in a high-pressure environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary of $480,000, full benefits, and a sign-on bonus. Our hospital is committed to providing a supportive and collaborative work environment.
