About the Role:

The Clinical Research Advancement department within the Office of Research at Florida State University seeks a Phlebotomist to support clinical research activities. The successful candidate will perform blood collections, prepare specimens for testing, and maintain patient and specimen information logs.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Inventory Maintenance and Supply Ordering
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist (adult)
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist (Pediatric)
