Mohs Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mohs Technician to join our team at Clear Choice Dermatology LLC. As a Mohs Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our physicians during Mohs surgery and assisting with the processing and examination of tissue specimens.

• Tissue Processing: Process and inspect tissues or specimens, prepare specimens for processing, and maintain accurate records.
• Specimen Preparation: Prepare specimens for embedding, cutting, and staining, and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed.
• Staining and Embedding: Perform routine staining procedures, embed and cut tissue, and place on slides for staining.
• Slide Preparation: Stain and cover-slip slides for physician review, and maintain accurate records of slide preparation.
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain lab equipment, instruments, and machines, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of specimen processing, slide preparation, and equipment maintenance.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with physicians, medical assistants, and other staff members to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality patient care.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory or medical setting, preferably in histology or a related field.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
