Position Summary:
The Production Associate will be responsible for adhering to all operational guidelines to ensure effective production and quality assurance of prosthetic components. This role includes operating machinery for the fabrication of prosthetic feet and accessories. Punctuality and regular attendance are essential for this position, which operates primarily during first shift hours, with potential Saturday overtime to fulfill customer demands. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Understanding and adhering to all safety, manufacturing, and quality protocols.
- Safely operating various manufacturing equipment, including metered mix machines, hydraulic presses, and standard cutting and assembly tools to produce prosthetic components that meet established specifications.
- Learning and comprehending the structural design principles of fiber-reinforced composite materials.
- Following guidelines for the storage and handling of materials to maintain product quality and shelf life.
- Conducting quality inspections on produced parts.
- Prioritizing daily tasks based on work orders assigned.
- Achieving daily production targets to ensure timely delivery and quality of products.
- Documenting manufacturing and product data using custom applications or paper records.
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisory staff as required within the facility.
Essential Skills:
The skills required for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Experience with computer data entry for quality tracking purposes.
- Proficiency in using a PC for email and web-based applications.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A high school diploma or equivalent educational achievement.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly with safe operation of manufacturing equipment, is preferred.
