Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and service to customers.
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) operations, including scanning, key entry, scale usage, coupon redemption, refunds, and processing various payment methods.
- Accurately bag customer groceries following our specific bagging procedures.
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy in scanning items, with a focus on productivity metrics.
- Adhere to proper check cashing, refund, and store charge protocols.
- Ensure compliance with WIC, Electronic Benefits (EBT), and regulations regarding alcohol and tobacco sales.
- Promote marketing initiatives and programs to customers.
- Gather feedback and donations from customers regarding current programs.
- Engage effectively with customers by addressing inquiries and assisting with requests.
- Follow cash drawer security and loss prevention guidelines.
- Notify management of any safety, security, or cleanliness concerns.
- Assist in various operational areas, including service counters, self-scan zones, and customer service tasks.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Exhibit key hospitality principles in all customer interactions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic math proficiency.
- Able to learn and utilize various proprietary systems and technologies.
- Effective problem-solving skills to enhance the customer experience.
- Ability to accurately identify products to ensure correct pricing.
