Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Repair Specialist to join our team at ServiceMaster Restore. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing structural, precision, and restoration/refinishing repairs on a variety of products, including furniture, cabinets, and millwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural and precision repairs on a variety of products, including furniture, cabinets, and millwork.
  • Refinish furniture and cabinets to a high standard.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure all tools and products are properly maintained.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Adhere to company guidelines and standards, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of woodworking, carpentry, power, and hand tools.
  • Ability to work within a team and take instruction.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and follow product label usage instructions.
  • Reports to work on time in a clean, complete uniform.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Incumbent must be prepared to:

  • Move up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time, and lift, squat, crawl, and crouch as required.
  • Express or exchange ideas with others and receive and act on detailed information given.
  • Use respirators, which are used in certain situations, and ensure they seal to your face.
  • Be exposed to various inside and outside working conditions, including changes in environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
