Job Title: Quality Assurance and Compliance Director

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience

Job Description:

The FSQA Team Leader plays a crucial role in upholding product integrity by managing food safety and quality assurance programs. This leadership position oversees laboratory operations, coordinates cross-functional teams, and ensures compliance with regulatory and customer standards.

  • Supervise lab technicians and sanitation teams to ensure quality and food safety goals are achieved across shifts.
  • Investigate non-conformance incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures.
  • Manage environmental monitoring programs, allergen testing, and chemical analysis to uphold safety standards.
  • Oversee coordination with external labs for specialized testing and collaborate with internal teams for quality improvements.
  • Train and develop staff on GMP compliance, allergen controls, and sanitation procedures.
  • Conduct internal audits and address any identified deficiencies to improve operational standards.
  • Maintain documentation for quality and safety protocols, including labels, logs, and compliance forms.
  • Support process enhancements and participate in strategic initiatives for continuous improvement.

Our ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, food science, or a related field and at least 4 years of quality assurance or laboratory management experience in food production. Certifications in HACCP, PCQI, and food defense protocols are highly desirable. The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
