Surgical Technologist Position

Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting the surgical team during operative procedures by performing a variety of technical duties to maintain a safe and efficient surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the surgical sterile field, ensuring asepsis and sterility at all times.
  • Assist in the preparation and movement of patients, as well as the cleaning and disinfecting of instrumentation.
  • Participate in all safety initiatives, adhering to programs such as SCIP and SCOAP quality initiatives.
  • Access computer information as needed, including preference lists and digital images.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology school or recognized course of training as a Surgical Technologist.
  • One year experience as a surgical technologist in a full-service operating room preferred.
  • CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) preferred, with current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification and Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration required.
