Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Expert to join our team at GovCIO. As a Data Protection Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our computer systems and data.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform cybersecurity incident detection, analysis, and prevention to safeguard our systems and data from potential threats.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability scans of networks and applications to identify weaknesses and improve our defenses.
  • Perform forensic analysis of information systems and portable devices to recover and preserve sensitive data.
  • Monitor systems and procedures to protect data systems and databases from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Collaborate with agency personnel and outside vendors to implement effective computer system security plans and meet emergency data processing needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field, such as computer science, cybersecurity, or information assurance.
  • At least 6-9 years of experience in security analysis, with a strong background in risk assessment, threat management, and incident response.
