Local Contract Nurse RN Position

Buffalo, New York, United States Supplemental Health Care Full time

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a registered nurse to provide medical care to a student in a school setting. The nurse will work on a one-to-one basis with the student, following their medical diagnosis and care plan. This is a contract position for the current school year, with the nurse expected to follow medical care plans and medical orders, as well as provide effective and pertinent information to the special education team and student caregivers.

Contract Details:

  • $37.50 – $40 per hour
  • This is a one-to-one nurse position to provide medical care to a student throughout the school day based on the student's medical diagnosis and care plan
  • Contract is for the current school year
  • The nurse will be expected to follow medical care plans and medical orders IEP/504 plans and provide effective and pertinent information to the special education team and student caregivers
  • Nurse will be expected to complete daily documentation
  • RN will be matched to student based on the nurse's medical acuity experience
  • 1:1 school nurse position may include bus runs, field trips, care for students with certain health diagnoses/requirements such as but not limited to behavioral care, seizures, diabetes, allergies, asthma, trach care, vent care, and g-tubes
