Job Summary

Aequor Technologies is seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Medical-Surgical unit. Your expertise in patient assessment, medication administration, and emergency response will be invaluable in ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities

* Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical unit, managing a wide range of medical conditions and post-operative care.
* Monitor and assess patient vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, documenting findings accurately and promptly.
* Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring proper dosages and adherence to protocols.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for each patient.
* Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care, ensuring understanding and compliance.

Requirements

* Strong understanding of medical-surgical nursing practices, including patient care, medication administration, and emergency response.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
* Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and hospital information systems for accurate documentation and data management.
* Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring patients, moving medical equipment, and standing for long periods.
* Active [STATE] Registered Nurse (RN) License in good standing.
* A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Med Surg Nurse or in a similar role.
* Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
* Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
* Experience with EPIC or similar charting systems.
