Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner/Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a continuum of substance abuse services, including assessment, education, and support for recipients of ACT services and the ACT team.
  • Deliver rehabilitative and support services to identified clients with severe and persistent mental illness.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to provide comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing evaluation of mental illness symptoms and response to treatment.
  • Participate in quality assurance procedures, staff meetings, and treatment planning review meetings.
  • Provide on-call intervention as delegated by the Team Lead.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a human service field from an accredited University/College or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minnesota Mental Health Practitioner Status obtained through education and/or experience.
  • State of Minnesota Department of Health, Alcohol & Drug Counselor Licensure required.
  • Good verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to maintain confidentiality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
