Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable registered nurse in our PACU unit to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the hospital. As a PACU nurse, you will work closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient's needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical management of patient care according to PACU standards and policy/procedure for all surgical procedures on all levels of care.
  • Perform clinical management of patient care involving patient/significant other/family.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and competency in hemodynamic and airway management of patient care.
Requirements
  • Must hold a current license from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact license with eligibility to practice in Virginia.
  • ADN degree (BSN preferred).
  • Current BLS, PALS, & ACLS certification.
  • Two years Medical /Surgical nursing or one year Medical/Surgical nursing and one year Critical Care nursing (may include ED).
