Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality respiratory care, ensuring patients receive the best possible treatment. This includes performing diagnostic tests, administering therapies, and monitoring patients receiving invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Administer oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy as required.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within 90 days of employment start date.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
