Job Title: Mechanical Drafter

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join our team at Rexarc International Inc. As a Mechanical Drafter, you will play a crucial role in creating detailed diagrams and drawings of machinery and mechanical devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed diagrams and drawings of machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information.
  • Create and update engineering drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
  • Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
  • Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
  • Check dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to the materials.
  • Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
  • Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
  • Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery using computer-assisted equipment.
  • Lay out, draw, and reproduce illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications, as well as, write technical documentation to describe operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
  • Process and distribute all essential engineering documentation including change notices, revision notices, and engineering drawings.
  • Establish and maintain CAD modeling and drafting standards.
Requirements:

  • AS/BS in Engineering Technology/Mechanical Engineering or 5 years of drafting experience with a strong aptitude in drafting processes.
  • Experience with Solidworks, AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT, Office 365, ASME Section VIII Div I Code, Compress Design Software, and JobBoss ERP System.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
