Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team at CHRISTUS Children's Hospital. As an Academic Physiatrist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the academic mission of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Physical Therapy Services to patients referred, including assessment, treatment plan development, and implementation with follow-up and discharge planning.
  • Assist with clinical aspects of the department, including program development, department operations, and Performance Improvement activities.
  • Supervise and coordinate the Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant student programs.
  • Supervise Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Technicians, and Volunteers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university in the area of Physical Therapy.
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Texas Executive Council of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.

CHRISTUS Children's Hospital is a 190-plus-bed hospital serving over 70,000 children annually from San Antonio, South Texas, and around the world. Our hospital is the only academic children's hospital in San Antonio and offers a wide range of specialized services, including Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care, Children's Emergency Services, and a highly regarded Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.
