Job Summary:

Samsung Research America is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Software Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based products and services.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge cloud services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, software development, and experience with React JS and JavaScript.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop cloud-based products and services
  • Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure
  • Work closely with research teams to create proof-of-concept prototypes
  • Design and deliver advanced research projects to our Knox B2B customers
  • Interface with other groups including Product Management, QA, and Operations

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Frontend Development
  • 2+ years hands-on expertise in React JS and JavaScript
  • Experience building and integrating with REST APIs
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms
  • Hands-on experience developing applications for highly available, scalable, and distributed systems
  • Must be an expert in Object Oriented JavaScript and Design Patterns
  • Should have a good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and CSS media queries
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with web development of data visualization and charting library (e.g. Highcharts)
  • Experience with Python development
  • Familiar with Continuous delivery and Continuous integration
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g. Jest) and code coverage tools

Our Total Rewards Program:

The base pay range for this role is $151,200-$207,750 USD. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.

Essential Job Functions:

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
