Position Overview:
The Clinical Assistant Professor will be responsible for the evaluation and interpretation of molecular pathology and surgical pathology specimens. Key responsibilities include:
  1. Reviewing and signing out pathology cases.
  2. Providing consultation services to hospital staff physicians.
  3. Performing frozen section analyses.
  4. Participating in quality assurance activities and generating monthly reports for the pathology department as per institutional guidelines.
  5. Instructing residents and students as assigned.
  6. Contributing to the development of research projects.

Essential Qualifications:
1. MD or DO license valid in New York State.
2. Completion of a fellowship in Surgical Pathology and/or Molecular Pathology.
3. Board eligibility or certification in Anatomic Pathology (AP), Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology (AP/CP), or Molecular Genetic Pathology.
4. A clean malpractice history.
5. Credentialed with insurance providers.

Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in reviewing and signing out molecular and surgical pathology cases, consulting with hospital staff, performing frozen sections, and engaging in quality assurance monitoring. Additionally, experience in teaching and research development is preferred.

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation:
Salary will be determined based on qualifications.
